 I left Pensacola in Sept of 58 to go to nursing school in New Orleans. After graduation I stayed on in New Orleans. Was married, had one beautiful daughter, Holly, there. Continued to work in nursing, always in the operating room, at Baptist Hospital, Ochsner Hospital and then on to Children's Hospital where I was the Director of Surgical Services for 29 years, retiring in March of 2005. My favorites were always cardio-thoracic, vascular, and neurosurgery. My present husband and I met in the operating room (he is a neurosurgeon who specialized in vascular surgery of the brain). When he and I married I gained another beautiful daughter, Victoria.  Carlos and I have just celebrated our 19th anniversary.We were living in Waveland,MS when Katrina blew through and destroyed our home.  Since he was working with Tulane University Medical School residency training at the VA Hospital at the time of the storm he was welcomed into the Jackson medical family at the VA Hospital in this area and we were transplanted to begin our lives once again. It was great to see everyone at the reunion and I still miss Pensacola!!
