After Pensacola High School, I went to Pensacola Junior College, then Gatorland, finishing at Florida State University with a business administration major.  As the draft beckoned, I joined the US Navy and started a 38 year flying career, retiring with 2.3 years actual time in the air.  I ended my flying in Denver, Colorado as a check airman for United Airlines on the 747 in 2000.  During this time, I did a bit of local and African hunting and fishing.  We got a bit tired of the Colorado winters and after many trips to Pensacola we decied to move back.  We arrived the end of February, 2008 and we are here to stay.

From Tim Jordan (PHS 1965 - Steve's brother, one of the twins): Today at the Founders Day luncheon at First Baptist Church of Pensacola I met Pat Connors Oubre.    At this Heritage Club Luncheon for those of us who were members for at least 50 years, she told me of your recent 50-year class reunion.   Oh, what a blessing it was as we talked about your reunion and the fellowship you had with one another.   It sounded like you had so much fun bringing back memories.    I took the liberty to register with Team 58 in Steve's memory.     There's never a day that goes by that I don't think of him; he was the best brother that anyone could ever have.  Thanks so much Pat for sharing and may God bless you all with good health and good memories of each other and of PHS!
